THEATRE AND VILLAGES OF UGANDA

I take theatre to the children and youth in villages , i was in masaka district in Uganda with these children i saw how their talents die because of having no opportunities to develop them............now my project is to use theatre through the children and youth to develop our,villages and  communities.

As a theatre artists i believe that when the children and youth in our villages and communities are given opportunities to develop there artistic skills this will be one of the ways for them to be part of their village and community development.
Has i believe that theatre is a mirror to our society,that  makes me strong that children and youth will be able to mirror their problems and the problems that are facing their villages and communities so as they can be able to solve them.

MPAATA ROGERS WILLIAMS PERFORMING ON THE STREETS OF HONG KONG

 

This was one of the great street theatre performance during the confluence of rivers that attracted a number of people that were entertained by the great artists from five different countries with major rivers,the street performances were to cater for the people who couldn't pay for the stage performance and also didn't have time to watch the stage shows.http://5river.wordpress.com
